Abstract

The research titled (The Impact of Monitoring on the Quality of Life Through the Glorious Qur’an) sought to study the value of monitoring in its direct and indirect meanings, and the explication of its importance and types and means of developing it through the Glorious Qur’an.

The Glorious Qur’an has divided monitoring –from the researcher’s perspective- into two major divisions:

Celestial Monitoring: Including the monitoring by Almighty Allah, and the monitoring by the Angels.

Human Monitoring: Including self-monitoring.

External Monitoring: Which is divided into several forms of monitoring, including: family monitoring, social monitoring, financial monitoring, and other forms of monitoring.

The research also aimed at shedding light on the impact of monitoring on the individual, and the extension of this impact to the quality of life of the individual and the society, and the means of developing this value through the Glorious Qur’an.

Among the Most Significant Findings of the Study:

  1. The value of monitoring means: What the Glorious Qur’an has entrenched in the heart of Muslims in terms of the certainty of the existence of counting, oversight, and the accountability of person and his affairs, actions and words.

  2. Monitoring has forms that are complimentary, just that self-monitoring is considered the default.

  3. The close link between the value of monitoring and the system of other Qur'anic values.

  4. Monitoring has direct impact on the individual, society, and the quality of life, which is still the subject of attention to development programs, and the goal of authority and centers of influence across all sectors.

  5. Quality of life is achieved by excellence in performance, charity in giving, balance in charity, and striving in developing the earth.
