The Preferences of Imam Abu Al-Muzaffar Al-Sama'ni's Jurisprudence Related to Sales (Buyu) in His Book Interpretation of Qur’an: A Comparative Study
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research dealt with the topic of Imam Al-Samani's jurisprudential weightings related to sales in his book entitled Interpretation of the Holy Qur'an: a comparative study. He clarified the jurisprudential rulings on sales, by which he is distinguished from others. Sales have a specificity that Islam has observed with a number of rulings, in many areas in the sale of peace, deferred sale, and sale at the time of Friday prayers, and in the chapters that relate to debts, sales, and others. This research presented these issues to the approved schools of jurisprudence, and showed the most correct opinion on each issue based on the evidence, as to realize that the Islamic Sharia is comprehensive and adequate, tackling every small and large matter in the affairs of religion and the world. The research highlighted the rules of sales in the light of dividing the research into two sections:The first section dealt with the biography of Imam Al-Sama’ani, may Almighty Allah have mercy on him, mentioning his surname, lineage, birth, jurisprudence, and his scientific status, his sheikhs, students, writings, and his death. The second section tackled Imam Al-Samani's weightings related to sales in three demands. The first demand dealt with his weightings in selling at the time of Friday prayers. As for the second, it treated his weightings related to writing the debt, and as for the third, it dealt with the ruling on writing the debt on the side of the clerk. The conclusion sums up the most important findings of the research.
